Sprunki Phase 9 Original came out in 2024 and was made by indie developers who also worked on the earlier Sprunki games. It’s basically a music arcade game where you mess around with sounds and characters until you get something you like.
The gameplay is really simple. You drag characters onto the screen. Each one makes its own sound. Put a few together and it turns into a beat. The more you add, the more it layers. There’s no score or timer, it’s just about building rhythms and messing around with what works.
Every character looks a little strange and makes a different noise, so it’s fun to just try them all and see what kind of track comes out. Some sounds fit together smoothly, others clash in a funny way. Each phase changes the look a bit, so it doesn’t feel stale even if you keep replaying. It runs in the browser and works on mobile too, so it’s quick to jump in and play.
If you like Sprunki Phase 9 Original, you’ll probably enjoy Sprunki Sprunklings other Sprunki Blueberry or music toys like Patapon-inspired rhythm apps. They all have the same play around and create feel.
